Having achieved a Veterinary nursing degree, it has provided me an established platform to understand and acknowledge the depth of the veterinary sciences. My ongoing experiences with range of species including dogs, cats, exotics as-well as small furriers including but not limited to rabbits, guinea pigs and ferrets has enhanced my handling and skills. These past 6 years, I have developed essential interpersonal skills required to navigate this field of work including patience, teamwork, leadership and confidence.
In this dedicated time, I have continually progressed myself into the independent nurse that I've visioned myself to become and aim to continue to develop and learn. My years working in a range veterinary practices in conjunction with studying at Oxford Brookes university developed both, my practical skills and extended my knowledge. My experiences have enabled me to become the punctual, reliant and dependable nurse that I am now.
As a competent, hardworking and motivated person, I am prepared to continue my journey as a full time & employed veterinary nurse and hope to broaden my experience beyond night shifts for a role that will ultimately bring me up the ladder for me to also share my knowledge to my peers. I have built a self-reflective foundation to appreciate my own abilities and potential hand with the hopes of working in multiple practices overtime, I am able to learn more skills in new environments as time goes by. I am currently completing my self -enrolled course in a ECC which is providing me with ongoing knowledge in detailed emergency care to extend my understanding and passion in working in a hospital setting in order to grow as an experienced registered nurse.
Working for a multi-disciplinary role would help me achieve this. This is expected to reach to a certificate by the end of 2026.
