Group Activities Leader - The Open Palace Programmes

(2019-06)

I have worked as a Group Activities Leader on this successful education summer programme for international students. It is my responsibility to help organise and educate the participants through a variety of heritage-related activities as they travel across the UK.

• I have learnt the importance of planning ahead as I had to ensure participants were in the right place at the right time
• I have also learnt how to build positive relationships with the students I work with on OPP so they can get the most out of their course, as I have never met the participants before

Waitress - Jarrolds

I worked for Jarrolds as a waitress as a summer job in my final year of sixth form. In this role I was waiting tables, clearing away, and ensuring customer service standards were upheld.

• This role taught me how to calmly deal with challenging customers but also taught me the value of working in a team to foster an effective and operative working environment

Group Activity Leader - The English Experience

(2024-06 - 2024-08)

I worked over the summer for the English Experience as an activity leader, leading several international groups of children ranging from ages 12-18. It was my responsibility to collect the groups from the English school and take them on a variety of excursions such as Norwich Cathedral and leading a tour of London landmarks.

• In addition to the Open Palace Programme, this role furthered my capacity to be organised and to plan ahead to ensure things run smoothly

Group Activity Leader - St Andrews College Language School - Queen Margaret University Campus

(2025-06 - 2025-07)

I worked for a month at Queen Margaret University Campus as an activity leader. My role comprised of taking students on excursions such as trips to Edinburgh city centre, Glasgow, and Stirling.

• In addition to this, I led a few creative and sports activities for students to help them improve their English language skills
