i have also been working as a sessional worker at the nursery in Elland and i really enjoyed it. i was taken part in various day to day activities from playing with children keeping them happy, ensuring their needs were met, preparing lunch for them, making activities with them which they enjoyed. i enjoy communicating with children as i have much experience as i sometimes look after after my cousins and i love this job as i am really confident and know i can keep them happy and satisfied

I have been working as a care assistant here at summerfield care home I do daily tasks for residents of daily needs being met From washing to dressing and toileting residents ensuring they are fully satisfied with their needs where they need us the most, ensuring they are happy and ensuring I have good communication skills , my daily routine insists of all cares making beds, giving all meals and drinks to residents if any concerns to report immediately, sitting down with residents interacting holding conversations taking part in activities and ensuring they are at the most comfortable in their own home

Work experience - Calder dale royal hospital

(2010 - 2010)

In 2010 I also did 1 weeks of work experience at the Calder dale royal hospital working in the medical assessment unit where I was looking after patients hoping they were getting the right amount of care and support which was given to them as much as possible. However I was mainly focused working with the housekeepers and the doctors. There was a strong emphasis on health and safety as bacteria spreads very rapidly.

I learnt about working both on my own and with others, working calmly and under pressure and also greatly improved my communication skills.

Volunteer - Furniture and electrical store in Halifax - Halifax

I have been working at the furniture and electrical store in Halifax which raises money for the British heart foundation, volunteer work helps me gain lots of experience as I take part in various roles such as answering phone calls and I have been doing this for the past few months and find it pretty easy and good to handle. Being polite and respectful is vital when talking to customers because it makes them feel much more comfortable.

Care Assistant - summerfield care home

I have also worked the the summerfield care home as a care assistant whicH I really enjoyed as I am a caring person and always want to to help others really my role and I got on so well with the service users some which had dimentia and the people who I worked with. My duties included washing/ bathing, getting them dressed, transferring from bed to chair etc, giving out food/ drink assist if needed, taking part in activities such as board games, art crafts , watching tv .
