Full-Time Procurement – Buyer/Supplier Coordination at Amentum (Jacobs) (2021-04 – Present)
Initially my role at Jacobs was in Project support, this required supporting the main project team by managing timesheet and allocation sheet files for Blue and White collar e.g. monitoring hours and task codes, inputting data into spreadsheets and Pivot tables to compare and assisting Payroll - Using Oracle and replicon reports. I then went on to gain more responsibility in Buying. This included placing orders for various departments through our internal Oracle purchasing system while also managing quotes and contacting suppliers.
This then progressed into helping develop an internal database for supplier maintenance which held the information on all suppliers in our system. I gained ownership of this database and became a main point of contact across the UK business for supplier onboarding. This entailed onboarding of new suppliers, calls and emails liaising with vendors to gain their documents needed for approval such as quality certificates and banking information and managing the database with the supplier details.
Day to day I practice continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes to increase efficiency while assessing supplier suitability and managing ongoing vendor relationships. As part of supplier maintenance, I created a sharepoint page with links to useful webpages and databases which became a focal point for the procurement team to get the information they needed. The role also included creating process flow charts and information pages which were sent out to the team along with spreadsheet work and calls with future/ potential suppliers.
Part-Time Store Assistant at Identity (2020-05 – 2020-08)
In my role at Identity I was responsible for managing the stock control and filling up different items of school uniform clothing when it needs I took on the role of cashier in peak seasons and used my organisational skills to manage daily tasks for a small group. This job helped me learn the importance of team work and time management.
Part-Time Waitress / Kitchen Porter at The Concle (2018-11 – 2019-09)
In this role as a waitress I was given the responsibility of greeting customers at the door and seating them at a table . As I was the only waitress working I was often very busy but resilient and I enjoyed what I did. I took orders from the customers and delivered them to the kitchen.
Once the meals were ready I took them to the customers. I was also responsible for clearing tables, washing and drying dishes. This taught me how to effectively communicate with the public and gave me confidence to aid customers and have friendly conversations.
School Work Experience Week at Furness Building Society (2019-02 – 2019-02)
For my school work experience in year 10 I spent 5 days working at the Furness Building Society. I learnt the inner workings of a bank and the functions behind it. I worked my way around different departments such as accounting, HR and work on the counter. This really helped me experience a working environment and gain skills such as confidence, initiative and organisation.
GCSE – St Bernard RC School (2015 – 2020)
