I'm a 18-year-old, AAT Level 3 qualified, Finance Apprentice, currently gaining valuable hands-on experience in the finance department at Gillespies LLP after joining at the start of 2024.
Primarily my duties are credit control, accounts receivable, billing, solving client/finance queries and monthly reporting for my Finance Directors analysis.
However, I also assist in VAT returns, the depreciation of NCA, monitoring expense reports and reconciling accounts, bank statements, etc.
*Gillespies LLP January 2024 – Present day In my first accounting job, I have been in charge of credit control, accounts receivable, the billing process, solving client/finance queries and monthly reporting and analysis for the management team. I also assisted in the VAT return quarterly, monitoring expense reports, and inputting timesheets from freelancers into our accounting system.
In 2025 I achieved a Merit in AAT Level 3 and prior to this, in 2024 I achieved a Merit in AAT Level 2.
