UK Communities Editor at DMG Media (2013-08 – 2022-03)

The Communities Team for the MailOnline, DailyMail.co, Daily Mail Australia and Metro Online is tasked to manage the site-based community, reviewing reader comments on articles, interpreting established house rules and in observance of media law

• Day to day management of UK & US teams, consisting of 7 full time & 12 casual moderators and 4 full time & 1 casual, respectively.
• Hiring, supervising, training and firing team members.
• Determining the application of the House Rules, Terms and IPSO guidance to comment moderation on the MailOnline, Daily Mail.com and Metro Online.
• Interdepartmental and reader correspondence.
• Consistently reached weekly rate of 85% of comments moderated (target of 70%).
• Oversaw an increase of weekly comment traffic from 1.1 million to a current average of 1.4 million.
• Commissioned and oversaw the development of a new comment platform that has contributed significantly to community growth and user experience.
