I am a 51 year old mum of 2 one of which has a disability, who I have cared for the last 18 years. Previously worked in care settings and caring for people in there own homes for which I completed a nvq2. For the last 18 years I have been a self employed home help / cleaner.

My clients are mainly elderly, but I do have a few who have disability. I am looking to get back into a bit of care work mainly because I love helping people and find it rewarding. I have recently completed a course in care on line for which I have a up to date certificate for.

I have worked in care on and off for the last 33 years, care home based and community based. Also cared for a child with a disability for 19 years. I also have level 2 now equivalent experience.

Nv2 in care, personal experience of Caring.
