- Participated in professional development opportunities to keep updated with current social work practices and theories.
- I was able to get to know and observe the families' daily interactions, and I had the opportunity to attend multi-agency meetings.
- I had the opportunity to facilitate group therapy sessions, such as baby group, and a weekly group called Tuesday chats.
- I completed tasks such as daily room checks, observations, and regular daily substance testing. Participated in contact supervision.

- I was able to develop my communication skills as I interacted with service users, my colleagues, and other professionals on a daily basis.
- Part of my role was to encouraged service users to be independent and active members of society and to develop trusting relationships with service users and to advocate on their behalf.
Placement - Southwark Council

- The teamwork with those aged between 0-25 years, with learning disabilities or physical disabilities who have eligible social care needs.
- Assessment of need for adults and children which was guided by the Children Act 1989 from the ages of 0-17 years, from age 18 years, the service users' needs are then re-assessed under the Care Act 2014, where the assessment is based on the impact their needs have on the young person once they become an adult.
- Working closely with other professionals, such as Child and adolescent mental health service. (CAMHS) Specialist schools, Occupational therapists, Psychologists, health visitors, The Metropolitan police and others.
- All age disability team is a newly formed team that is based within Southwark Council.
Placement - Lewisham Refugee and migrant network

- Covered Reception duties: where I welcomed all visitors, clients. Answer phone calls and transfer to advisors, make appointments for clients and new clients. Take calls regarding immigration and to do immigration screening. And support advisors with immigration casework when needed.
- Welfare and Housing: Assisted caseworker, to support clients who have had successful home office applications to fill out forms in order to gain housing or benefits such as employment support allowance and Tax credit.
- Women's Group: Assisted with the women's group, women that were destitute. to provide and organise activities on a weekly basis, such as art therapy, gardening club, film club, yoga and days out.
- Case Work: I worked with service users from various nationalities whose situations ranged from immigration, asylum, gender-based violence and domestic violence. I had the experience of consultations with various professionals on behalf of the service user, such as the Home Office, GP's, Solicitors, detention centers, housing, and benefits departments.

- I played a key role to ensure the smooth running of the department. My duties were to process and distribute the incoming mail, to input data, filing, faxing to maintain and to order the office stationery and to do photocopy.
- My duties consisted of a customer services role such as dealing with enquires both face to face and on the telephone.

- My job was as a front house telephonist/receptionist.
- It was my duty to meet and greet clients as they entered the building. My role consists of telephone enquiries, IT skills, updating the data base, filing, faxing, photocopying, maintaining and ordering stationary, distributing internal mail and franking the post.
Voluntary - Dulwich Youth Club
- I was working with young people aged 12-19 years mentoring individuals, encouraging social inclusion, to listen to them, to play a caring role. I worked alongside a parent in order to give support. And I helped with organizing trips and activities.
