• Completed a seven-week research project investigating the splicing regulation of cryptic last exons in zebrafish.
• Applied CRISPR-Cas9 microinjection, DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, RT-PCR and qPCR, with exposure to confocal fluorescence microscopy and zebrafish handling.
• Independently planned experiments, analysed data and presented findings to researchers and fellow placement students.
