Samirah Ahmed

A highly motivated and hardworking individual who has recently finished college. I am seeking an apprenticeship/employment in order to build a career in the pharmaceutical industry, eventually my goal is to gain experience and work my way up in becoming either a dispensing assistant, team leader or supervisor. I personally believe that Pharmacy is a fast-growing profession which recognizes pharmacists as being involved heavily in the introductions of different, new medicines for different types of diseases.

I find the potential of working in this field as extremely inspiring

I am a very presentable person. I take pride in my appearance which has a direct impact on my confidence. I would regard myself as being extremely passionate about any goal or task given. I am dynamic enough to be able to adjust to new surroundings and new people in groups/teams or individuals.

I have a will do attitude and I am very willing to take new ideas on board. I was able to learn a different language in specific science courses, all of this has allowed me to learn more about other people's backgrounds, cultures, and lifestyles. Such experiences have also aided in the development of my self-confidence and communication skills.

I do volunteering in a pharmacy, I claim, print, and order prescriptions for patients that come in and ask for their medication. would sometimes be on the front till and ask what they need then I would fulfill their needs and what they are enquiring for. I would also be in the back dispensing medication making sure the right medication and right strengths that's told in the prescription and then would give to the pharmacist to check and hand out.
