Team Knowhow / Chairperson for Wellbeing, Inclusion, and Diversity - Curry's Repair Centre - Newark
(2015-10)
I moved to Team Knowhow because I know it was a noticeably big and established company which would help me grow my knowledge for technology and in-depth electrical repairs. When I started, I already had mobile repair and managerial experience, so this helped me pass my experiences on to my fellow colleagues that had only just got into the industry. Since being here, I have tried to take on all aspects of the job role from reporting, control, and IMS (these are the systems used within the company), as well as these systems.
I have an extensive knowledge of Word, Excel, and Power points. I have worked closely with my operations managers and floor managers to improve production, making improvements to processes, and making the workplace a more enjoyable place to work. As the elected Chairperson for Wellbeing, Inclusion, and Diversity, I have spent the last three years leading high-impact mental health and inclusion strategies, dedicating 50% of my role to direct colleague support and service coordination.
I possess significant experience in risk assessment and responding proactively to individuals in distress, often acting as the sole point of contact for complex mental health concern
Sales Assistant / Mobile Phone Repair Technician / Store Manager - Fone Doctor - Lincoln
(2012-09 - 2015-09)
I started at Fone Doctor as a sales assistant at the time it was an exceedingly small company with a handful of stores. After 8 months I started getting mobile phone repairs which I thrived at, but I really wanted to get into the management side of the business. A job came up in the indoor market of Lincoln as the manager left, after 6 months of doing the job, I doubled the takes and had an excellent rapport with our local customers and staff.
On my performance I got asked to take over a bigger store in Lincoln Morrison's supermarket. This came with more foot full and responsibilities. I loved this role being hands on withy colleagues' ad local customers.
Replenisher (Night Shift) - Sainsbury's
(2008-10 - 2011-12)
At Sainsbury's I worked the night shift mostly on the BWS (Beers, Wines, and Spirits) department as a replenisher. My main intention was trying to work my way up, but they were not really interested in having me do that as I was one of the fastest workers. They had a case rate scheme where we had to keep a case count rate of 45 an hour, mine was 6-65 an hour.
I was interested in the delivery side of the job, I really wanted them to sign me of so I could confirm the delivers that come in the middle of the night, at one point I really tried to push them to train me as a health and safety officer. They did not have one of these for the night shift but the manager that was trying to help me get on the course left, meaning no one else was interested in having one for nights as it was all done in the day.
