Samuel Fisher

A Social Researcher working for the Office for National Statistics for 18 months.

I have experience using data science techniques to perform analyses on projects that are submitted to be published. My most recent publication involved feasibility research into the potential of using admin-data as a way of collecting population data for the UK.

During my time in this role I have used Pyspark, R, Power BI and Git in a professional capacity.

Since graduating from my Masters in Research Methods in Psychology in 2021 I have found myself with an interest in research. This interest was developed whilst undertaking both my undergraduate and post-graduate dissertations. The process of finding a research area and aiming to expand upon it through research is highly exciting. More specifically, producing research that is able to improve or help society is something of upmost importance to me.
