Medical doctor with over 10 years of postgraduate clinical experience, currently practising in Saudi Arabia with more than five years of continuous Emergency Medicine experience, following earlier clinical practice in Nigeria. I have broad experience managing patients across all age groups and levels of acuity, from common urgent presentations and minor injuries to acute medical emergencies, trauma, resuscitation and stabilisation. My current Emergency Department practice involves the assessment and management of undifferentiated presentations, acute and acute-on-chronic illness, recognition of the deteriorating patient, initiation of time-critical treatment, reassessment and appropriate escalation or transfer.

Working in a busy clinical environment has strengthened my ability to prioritise competing clinical needs, make safe decisions under pressure and coordinate care effectively with multidisciplinary teams. My wider clinical background includes inpatient medical cover and previous general medical practice in Nigeria, giving me experience across both emergency and ongoing patient care. Resident Doctor - Emergency Department at Maysan General Hospital (2021-02 – Present)

• Assess and manage patients presenting with urgent conditions, acute illness, injuries and emergencies across all age groups, making clinical decisions guided by emergency protocols, treatment guidelines and patient safety principles.
• Recognise and manage clinical deterioration, including resuscitation, stabilisation, initiation of treatment, reassessment and appropriate escalation to specialist or consultant teams.
• Rostered as Doctor 1 (D1), the Code Blue coordinator, helping coordinate the initial medical response, prioritise immediate actions and work with the multidisciplinary team during resuscitation events.
• Perform procedures including suturing, wound care, incision and drainage, foreign body removal and fracture stabilisation. Additional Emergency Department practice includes NIV, procedural sedation and analgesia, peripheral nerve blocks and DC cardioversion within my scope of practice.
• Provide inpatient medical cover during designated afternoon and night shifts, reviewing new clinical concerns, managing existing medical conditions and responding to deterioration.
• Prescribe and administer treatments with attention to medication safety, appropriate dosing, monitoring and the patient's clinical condition.
• Work closely with nurses, specialists, consultants and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and support safe discharge, admission, referral or transfer.
• Maintain clear, accurate and timely clinical documentation and structured handover to support continuity of care.
• Participate in continuing medical education, clinical presentations and case discussions as part of ongoing professional development.
