Dr Sanjeev Ghai obtained his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering with 1st class Hons with gold medal from the Punjab Technical University Jalandhar in 2013, which was followed by a Dual Masters and PhD in mechanical engineering with an emphasis on computation of turbulent combustion at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, Kanpur, India in 2019. He joined Newcastle University as a Research associate in 2021, prior to this he has worked as a Institute postdoctoral Research fellow at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Mumbai, India (2020-2021).
Dr Ghai's research interests include Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), with a focus on turbulence, heat transfer, computational combustion with advanced turbulence chemistry interaction models such as PDF and MMC methods.
