• Ensure that residents are at the heart of care delivery and their wishes and preferences are taken into consideration to enhance their wellbeing.
• Be responsible for informing the Senior Healthcare Assistant /Team leader in the needs of residents.
• Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of residents.
• Be aware of the safeguarding adults and whistleblowing policies and report any concerns accordingly.
• Maintain the residents' independence, privacy and dignity at all times.
• Ensure confidentiality is always maintained.
• Maintain accurate and up to date records of all care given.
• Report and record any accidents or incidents and ensure the quality and level of detail of recordings made correspond to the events described.
• Encourage the residents to participate in social and recreational activities.
• Ensure all moving and positioning is carried out according to moving and positioning assessments.
• All specific nutrition and hydration needs of residents to be met according to the existing care plan and report to the senior healthcare assistant or Team leader if any changes or risks identified.

• Report any faulty equipment promptly to the senior healthcare assistant or Team leader.
• Ensure Infection Control procedures are always adhered to.
