I am a dedicated professional with a strong background in publishing, education, and research. With an MSc in International Development from the University of Manchester and a BSc in Conservation Biology from the University of Aberdeen, I have developed a multidisciplinary approach to problem-solving and analysis.
My experience in academic publishing, including my roles as Journals Portfolio Manager at Taylor & Francis and Commissioning Specialist at Frontiers, has equipped me with expertise in research dissemination, editorial processes, and project management. I have worked closely with researchers, editors, and institutions to enhance journal performance, streamline workflows, and expand the reach of scientific publications.
In addition to my publishing experience, I have a strong foundation in education and mentoring. As a Teaching Assistant, I supported students with diverse learning needs, helped develop lesson plans, and facilitated an engaging learning environment. My role as a Student Mentor at the University of Aberdeen further honed my ability to guide and support individuals in academic and personal development.
Beyond my professional experience, I am passionate about inclusivity, equality, and sustainability. I have actively contributed to LGBTQ+ rights initiatives and equality projects, demonstrating my commitment to fostering diverse and supportive communities. With a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a results-driven mindset, I thrive in dynamic environments where collaboration and innovation are valued.
