I am an experienced and friendly self-employed creative professional with a prestigious client list and experience in higher education. I offer valuable skills in creating engaging and dynamic visual content for corporate clients.
With several years of experience and a range of creative projects in my portfolio I am a proficient and skilled visual communicator. From my experience working with a range of clients I understand the importance of clear communication and identifying the needs of stakeholders whilst demonstrating initiative in meeting a busy deliverable schedule. From managing my own business, I am experienced in working to prescriptive briefs and style guides but also possess the creativity and skills to produce a range of innovative and consistent visual assets.
I have also developed strong verbal and written presentation skills from my experience lecturing in the field of illustration.
I have developed an excellent set of visual problem solving, multi-tasking and digital software skills. Often, I am approached by clients for my dynamic and bold vector illustration style. The main sector that I work in is editorial illustration; with clients such as Facebook, The New York Times, Teen Vogue and The Huffington Post.
Editorial can be both exciting and high pressure where I demonstrate visual solutions to articles in a short time frame. Recently, I have also worked on a branding strategy with the Scottish Refugee Council and have worked with emerging businesses on brand strategies and design guidelines.
One key aspect of developing my reputation has been around building strong relationships with clients. I hold strong project management skills, including managing my forward pipeline of work, quality control and maintaining business administration. A year ago, I was approached to work under agency representation amongst a roster of prestigious illustrators.
