Boarding House Domestic In my role as Boarding House Domestic, I had the duty to provide an environment that is clean, safe, and comfortable for the residents and all other members of staff. The job entails performing several duties associated with housekeeping while adhering to high levels of cleanliness and organization within the boarding house. In line with safety in the workplace, I made sure to adhere to the COSHH guidelines by safely using cleaning materials, storing chemicals properly, and wearing protective gear when needed.
By so doing, this ensured that not only was there compliance with safety measures, but that there would also be a high level of cleaning at all times. Furthermore, I was able to observe details in the work being done and also worked effectively, both independently and as a member of a team.
Working in the salon gave me customer services skills when greeting customers, making appointments for them, and ensuring that everyone who visited was greeted with a smile. I ensured that I communicated with the customers professionally, answered their queries, and helped in the smooth running of the salon by making sure the salon was organized and neat. Working in such a setting also built my self-confidence and enabled me to appreciate good communication and teamwork in the workplace.
