I was working in the Galley when it was brought to my attention there was a medical emergency immediately responded and found a passenger was having a seizure. I conducted a secondary survey; he was breathing but unconscious. His wife was hysterical making it difficult to establish the facts and if he had any medical conditions (such as epilepsy).
I directed my colleague to make announcement for a health care professional and to inform the Customer Services Manager (CSM). I directed another colleague to fetch the defibrillator and first aid kit. I decided to place him in the recovery position to maintain an open and clear airway.
An off-duty Police Officer assisted me. As soon as I put him in recovery position the patient became responsive. Shortly afterwards my colleague arrived with the defibrillator, an off duty nurse and CSM.
I relayed the facts to them. The nurse checked his vital signs using equipment from the M5 box. I then went to the flight deck to brief the crew and seek advice through Medlink. I also completed an air incident report.

One of the passengers was visually impaired and was traveling in my area of responsibility. I introduced myself to him and discreetly enquired re his needs in order to treat him accordingly. He was anxious flying by himself, and I reassured him.
I explained how many seats back the toilets were located, l explained the location of his safety equipment and went through his boarding card, which I reiterated again after completing my safety demonstration, as safety is an absolute priority for me. During drink/meal service I read out the menu to him and gave recommendations and looked after him. Throughout the flight I continuously checked on him without being intrusive.
I ensured he had the appropriate headphones for the inflight entertainment system. When time permitted, we had conversations and built repoire establishing he was visiting family. On arrival I saw him standing on the airbridge.
I asked if everything was ok and he just wanted to thank me for the help and service I had provided.
