Maintenance Assistant at Harrogate Inn (2024-06 – Present)

I currently work full time as a maintenance assistant at the Harrogate Inn. Here, I carry out various hands on tasks such as plumbing, electrical wiring, filling, plastering, tarmacking, painting and general upkeep of the outdoor area. I have become comfortable working solo and using lots of power tools and equipment.

Electricians Mate at Various Electricians

As part of my college course, I worked at two electricians- Walter Hartley and Jet power and light. In both of these rolls I helped by fetching tools and equipment, run cable through the floor, wire a few sockets, tidy and clean and a-bit of plastering.

Oven Baked assistant at Morrisons (2022 – 2023)

In 2022/3 I worked at Morrisons as a oven baked assistant. My tasks included making all the food behind the counter, food preparation and serving, and cleaning everything down in the evening. One thing that helped me develop as a worker from this job was the shift patterns which included some very early mornings.

Bartender at Harrogate Inn / St George

• My first job was the St George Hotel. This job mainly consisted of greeting guests, serving and talking to people as a waiter, running food and drinks. Unfortunately the St George closed down last year, but I stayed committed until the day it closed.
• I also worked as a bartender at the Harrogate Inn (formerly the St George, and my manager asked me to return). I worked here full time, which I enjoyed, as everyday is different, it creates new challenges and allows me to meet new people. I can be hands on and develop skills.
