I am a HCPC registered Paramedic with experience working on the frontline ambulances, on HEMS air ambulance, and on Search and Rescue Helicopters as a Paramedic
I am a qualified Paramedic with 3 years post-qualification experience. I am currently working as a SAR Paramedic Winchman for Bristow Helicopters, having recently moved home from living in New Zealand, where I worked as a Paramedic Crewman for the New Zealand HEMS Westpac Rescue Helicopter based in Christchurch. Prior to this I worked as a Paramedic for the Welsh Ambulance Service Trust, where I gained experience working on frontline emergency ambulances, however I was driven to expand my knowledge and skillset as a Paramedic, hence my move over to New Zealand.
Previous to becoming a Paramedic I worked in the British Royal Air Force for 9 years, where I worked as a Combat Medic as part of the Medical Emergency Response Teams on the Chinook Helicopters, within that completing a 6-month tour in Afghanistan.
I bring a high level of clinical knowledge, and I have extensive expertise in Air Ambulance and Frontline Ambulance services, treating patients across acute, emergency, and urgent care settings, often in high-pressure environments. Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams has strengthened my ability to assess, diagnose, and manage diverse clinical scenarios.
I have a DipHE in Paramedic Science from Swansea University, and am currently studying part-time for my MSc in Emergency and Resuscitation Medicine with Queen Mary University.
