About

I am a highly motivated and vastly experienced carpenter and joiner and has been in my chosen profession for 25 years of which the majority of time has been spent working on a self-employed basis setting up my own ltd company SMA joinery ltd, during my time as a self-employed joiner/carpenter I have gained a lot of experience and knowledge I am fully competent in every aspect of joinery and pride myself in delivering a high-quality service every time. Whilst working on various contracts I have undertaken works on shopfitting, school, office, laboratory & housing refurbishments and both the day-to-day maintenance and planned maintenance of churches, care homes, council & housing association properties. Within all these roles I have communicated and co-ordinated my work with different representatives of these projects in a courteous and tolerant manner.

I am used to working away from home and hours to suit clients needs and also possess basic skills in other trades such as plumbing, electrics, painting, floor laying, tiling and roofing. I am an excellent communicator on all levels from motivation of apprentices to discussions and decision making at site management level and I believe I would be an asset to any future employer as I am self-motivated. Determined individual who as a high attention to detail in all aspects of work.

Experience

Charge-hand of windows / Factory worker - Pemberton Park & leisure homes

(2016-01)

I have worked at Pemberton leisure homes for the last six and a half years starting off on the twin units in factory 1 where my job was to level, mesh and trim the vans before cladding them and fitting the windows and doors then finishing off the insides, making up and putting all furniture on the vans then carrying out the check lists and site kits before the vans left the factory. After about two and a half years I moved up into the new purpose-built factory and continued in the same role until February of 2019 when I became charge-hand of windows on top of continuing helping on the cladding stage more recently I have also spent a lot of time working on the yard helping with the shortages and snagging lists and repairing damages to the outside of the vans.
