I build AI systems that have to pass security review, model risk and audit, and I've built the organisations that produce them. I was the first ML hire at a gene-therapy startup that was later acquired, co-founded one applied-AI organisation inside J.P. Morgan and founded a second that grew to 45+ people, and last year started TWG Global's UK AI business with no team and no clients on day one.
I'm still hands-on: I prototype the difficult parts myself, design the evaluation harnesses, and publish open-source systems and benchmarks on my own time. What I want next is to own the technology of a single product end to end rather than run a portfolio of other people's. PhD in AI, 25+ granted US patents
