I graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a 1st class degree in Youth Justice. I am an energetic and hard working individual, passionate about advocating for young people and vulnerable people. After my experience at university, as well as career experience, I have become proficient in report writing, managing others, problem solving, and many more skills that are transferable to a plethora of roles.
I have worked in the industry with young people for many years, starting with voluntary work, to my latest position as a senior care worker, now looking for a position in which there is more opportunity and responsibility for office based work, as opposed to care work, whereby I can use my skill set in a more efficient and effective manner.
I have years of experience in various care settings, seeing first hand the impact that society, crime, funding, and poor care can have on young people as well as their communities for a prolonged amount of time. I have worked with young people from ages 5 to 22 with roles that vary from care work, to work in which I organised the facilitation of youth boards and engaged in multi agency work with local councils to make improvements to communities.
I recently graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a 1st class degree in Youth Justice. During my time here I was selected for two trips abroad to represent the university, including an international conference.
