As I reflect on my journey since beginning my career in quality assurance, I have consistently aimed for excellence and sought opportunities to contribute to the industry. This commitment to continuous improvement and the pursuit of high standards is at the core of my professional ethos.. I strongly believe that the multi-disciplinary background of my education and recent work experience, in which I led the organisation through the BRCGS S&D audits and achieved AA grade consecutively for two years, would be valuable for this role.

My current role as an operations manager for an FMCG SME has provided the necessary insights into the functioning of supply chain operations, logistics, and quality assurance while also strengthening my knowledge of the FMCG industry's business and commercial aspects.

In my current role, I have achieved the following significant accomplishments:

• AA grade in BRCGS Storage and Distribution, no external consultants.
• Established 100% digital and visual traceability for the products, ensuring consumer safety.
• Vertically integrated the company’s GB container logistics, through establishing relationships with port health authorities and HMRC, and thus excluding freight forwarders from the operations.
• Optimised pick and pack processes to reduce damage and incorrect order claims by a factor of 300%.
• Quantifiably reduced the carbon footprint of operations through decarbonization of the sales fleet and installation of on-site renewables.
• Successfully negotiated contracts with a host of suppliers, from utility providers to ocean carriers.

Moreover, managing a small team of individuals with diverse skills and backgrounds has further expanded my interpersonal and leadership skills, which are essential qualities for any member of a high-performing team.

• In my capacity, I oversee supply chain operations, UK regulatory compliance to food safety, health and safety and environmental regulations, and adherence to industry standards (BRCGS)
• Daily operational responsibilities include warehouse management using WMS, and logistics of containerised and palletised FMCG.
• Involved in the vertical integration of the business' GB multimodal logistics, including customs and port health clearance, and inland haulage.
• Assisting the development of cold-chain in order to prepare for the diversification to temperature controlled goods.
• Helping the organisation align its operations and supply chain with the wider national and international sustainability goals through implementation of on-site renewable energy generation and fleet decarbonisation.

I have completed my Masters in Environmental Management from University of Herftordshire, United Kingdom.

Throughout my academic journey, I have developed a strong foundation in environmental principles, policies, and practices. My coursework covered topics such as Environmental Management Systems, Renewable Energy and Environmental Policy and Governance; providing me with a comprehensive understanding of the complexities within this field.

During my studies, I actively engaged in the research involving bioremediation using silicone which allowed me to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios, honing my skills in literature review and wet-lab based quantifications. Additionally, I am an associate member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment.
