I am a motivated student that I am always on time for school. I am kind person who is very keen on trying new things and learning new skills. At school, as well as my studies, I also volunteer to work on the Achieve Sips and Snacks team to deliver drinks to people in the school. I've also have a Sunday job in a café on Leith Walk, serving food and drink and taking orders and keeping the customers happy.
Café Staff - Sea Breeze Café

I take customer orders, make coffees, clean up, make and prepare food and I am currently getting trained up to use the cash machine and take customer payments. I'm very punctual for this Sunday job and have a great memory for all the orders that I take. It also has taught me how to work with all types of customers and meet their needs, but also to resolve any problems that come up.
Barista and Drinks Server - Achieve Group - Sips and Snacks (Princes Trust)
Making and serving hot and cold drinks to staff and pupils in the school. I am now fully barista trained and got an National 5 certificate award. I also set up a barista project in my school, dedicating my break and lunchtimes to serving drinks for fellow pupils and teachers. Through this, I watched my confidence soar and found enjoyment in group tasks.
Programme Participant - Princes Trust - King's Trust Achieve Programme
I take part in the King's Trust's Achieve programme, with aims to develop skills like communication, confidence and teamwork. I started a fundraiser for a local food bank to buy high-demand items, and worked with the charity to support those in need. I won Tesco education award through achieve group in school.
I struggled with self esteem and was 'very shy'. Now, I've gone 'against the odds' and overcome my own barriers. My goals were 'beginning to feel out of reach', before I managed to find my voice. I have now won The King's Trust award in recognition of overcoming my challenges.
