I am 26 years old and am passionate about working with and filling my own home with animals. I have 1 Saint Bernard, 3 cats, 1 parrot and 6 rabbits. I've had a variety of other pets in the past so have wealth of experiences with different species including ferrets, aviary birds and poultry. My other interests include drawing portraits, reading and watching crime dramas and eating (but definitely not cooking).
am an RVN via the diploma route with on the job training, including out of hours. I qualified in 2019 and have been with the same practice since I started my training. Kennel nursing is a firm favourite for me, as well as clinics, however I am confident in the op theatre either scrubbing up or monitoring anaesthetics. I have experience working out of hours too although am looking to leave out of hours work.
I have been lucky to work in a practice with a wide variety of diagnostics including a CT scanner, dental radiography and a good ultrasound machine therefore am experienced with these forms of diagnostic imaging which has added value to my experience and knowledge. I am accustomed to carrying out lab work too such as running in house bloods including istats, urinalysis, and using the microscope.
