With a background as an Investigating Officer managing complex crime cases, and now working within a high-performing Anti-Corruption Unit, I’ve dealt with misconduct investigations, audited internal systems, and contributed to improved ethical standards across the organisation.

June 2024 – Current

Police – Systems Audit Specialist (Anti - Corruption Unit) 

▪ Conduct compliance assessments and system audits across high-risk operational areas, ensuring adherence to governance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and internal standards;

▪ Implement regular review checkpoints to validate processes, identify defects, and embed corrective measures throughout the audit lifecycle;

▪ Produce detailed reports and analysis for senior leadership, providing insight on compliance performance, operational effectiveness, and opportunities for quality improvement;

▪ Oversee compliance and assurance activities, supporting the implementation of effective policies, processes, and quality controls across multiple departments;

▪ Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to ensure audit findings translated into demonstrable improvements in delivery outcomes;

▪ Communicate findings clearly both in written and verbal formats, present findings and ensure recommendations are understood and can support senior management decision-making;

Police – Investigating Officer

▪ Conducted thorough investigations, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and organisational standards throughout the case lifecycle;

▪ Led complex investigations into offences including fraud and public order;

▪ Prepared evidence files for CPS, achieving one of the highest charge/conviction rates in team;

▪ Conducted PACE-compliant interviews and managed multi-agency collaboration;

▪ Managed end-to-end casework including disclosure, court appearances, and digital forensics;

▪ Mentored and coached junior investigators in investigative standards and best practice.

▪ Implemented responsibility of mitigating risks and ensured outcomes consistently met required standards;

▪ Monitored adherence to internal policies, governance frameworks, and quality assurance procedures across multiple operations;

▪ Balanced independent investigative work with collaborative team efforts to deliver high-quality, reliable outcomes under strict regulatory and operational requirements.

Police – First Contact Officer 

▪ Frontline call handling for emergency and non-emergency incidents.;

▪ Triaged incidents, gathered intelligence, and initiated appropriate police response;

▪ Provided voluntary interpretation in sensitive cases involving vulnerable victims.
