Working with technologies such as Azure for the cloud and .net core 8, creating pipelines for new projects using bicep and yaml templates, and writing front end customer/client facing applications using Blazor. Limited project details due to NDA.

Contract Developer - RSPB

Working on tech stacks for Azure, creating functions in .net core 6 and upgrading to .net core 8, and github actions to trigger builds/deploys. Responsible for creating new APIs and services to offer data from a headless CMS (Magnolia) for the RSPB SPA website. With a lot of the developers being junior level, instinctively took charge and started mentoring and helping them towards learning best practices and their personal development.

Contract Developer - Davies Group

Worked on tech stacks for Azure, creating functions, topics, queues and using the latest c# .net core 7 functionality to process large amounts of data from a legacy MSSQL database via complicated stored procedures. Refactored a lot of the stored procedures to avoid containing logic to put it at code level to allow unit testing around them. In a small team, instinctively took lead on the development side of things quickly and also helped other developers in other teams.

Led the team using cutting edge technologies such as ReactJS, NodeJs (for AWS lambdas), and .Net core within AWS and Google cloud. Testing was done with a mixture of Unit Tests (xunit) and integration tests (SpecFlow on new services). Took lead on a year long project of migrating from GCP to AWS and from PHP/GoLang services/APIs to .net core. Played a part in using technologies for GraphQL for adding a layer over existing APIs. Did a lot of work with headless CMS Contentful.

Contract .Net developer responsible for developing and maintaining the live website, and information websites such as totesport and totepool. Mentored other developers to learn SOLID principles and TDD, also to work in an agile environment. Led a team and used cutting edge technologies such as .net core, and react.js. Testing was done using a mixture of Unit Tests, EF core and SpecFlow BDD. Also did NodeJS express APIs for internal apps.

Contract .Net Developer - Think Money Group

Contracting as a .Net developer developing a Credit Card system which runs checks on applicants, following security procedures and coding standards. Built WCF services which interacted with open banking and checked affordability. In charge of start to finish of the project from developing phase to go live. Also worked with some open banking APIs to check affordability.
