FY-2 equivalent, medical graduate from India; a first-generation doctor who has always been inspired by medicine, and very keen to pursue Internal Medicine Training in the UK. I describe myself as dedicated, compassionate, respectful and inquisitive, with a budding interest in research and a strong desire to learn and contribute more. Outside of my academic pursuits, I find balance through my interests in filmmaking and digital artwork, something I have pursued through self-teaching.
And this, I believe truly sets me apart because this has refined my ability to innovate.
Working in environments ranging from GP, to A&E, to the community, to the wards, has exposed me to a broad spectrum of medicine and patients, which has added to my knowledge and helped me learn about the importance of teamwork, collaboration and effective communication as well as demonstrate adaptability. I have beginner-level experience in research and teaching which has given me a diverse skill set and enables me to contribute to any team and is something I wish to advance in with my role.
ALERT course, which I believe has strengthened my clinical governance and improved my confidence enabling me to navigate through emergency scenarios and improve patient healthcare. The Quality Improvement Specialisation Course by Imperial College London, this course has given me a structured approach to QIPs and Audits. Additionally, I am currently a Clinical Attache at Wexham Park Hospital (Frimley NHS Trust) in the Department of Internal Medicine -which I believe prepares me for this role.
