Home Administrator of a 60 bed nursing home. The home consists of 2 buildings, split into residential nursing and EMI dementia.
- Manage the finances of all residents within the home, staff and residents fund. This includes ingoings and outgoings each month
- Complete weekly hours reports of staff use
- Issue new contracts to residents, ensuring all paperwork is in place for admissions. Completion of OPG100 requests and POA enquiries
- Onboarding of new staff to the company - ensuring all documentation is in place, training is complete and all relevant checks are undertaken before employment
- Onboarding of overseas workers - ensuring RTW checks are in place, documentation is in place, viewing accommodation and training courses are booked and complete
- Complete payroll to all staff within the two homes using careblox system, annual leave is approved correctly, sickness/absence is reported and logged correctly
- Raise PO numbers and ensure these are receipted to the correct invoice before being forwarded to head office for payment
- Liaise with Sheffield City Council and surrounding Local Authorities regarding placements, fees and funding
- Answer and make calls within the home. Ensure emails are responded to in a timely manner, sending out and responding to emails wherever needed

- Daily management and correct running of the home, whilst ensuring policies and procedures were followed and in place
- Assess new residents and ensure that they were suitable to the home, ensuring that their needs would be met whilst in care
- Maintain the health and safety of all staff and residents within the home, including implementing risk assessments where required and/or altering already existing risk assessments. Ensuring that all staff had the correct training in place

- Identify and report concerns correctly and to the correct person(s) being able to identify when concerns/issues require safeguarding or CQC notifications
- Make strong and effective working relationships with other healthcare professionals, local authority staff, solicitors who act on behalf of residents, executive services, DoLS and best interests assessors, residents, and their families
- Ensure that residents receive the appropriate and correct medical attention wherever it is needed, and that staff are aware of the protocols which are to be followed

Sheldon House is a small 6 bed residential home primarily for Muslim women with mental health needs. Duties were to ensure smooth and efficient running of the home, including being on call during the nights and weekends.
