Hi my name is Siu Hun Li and I am a professional actor/teacher
I’m originally from Edinburgh and I have been a professional actor for 16 years. I trained on the three year acting course at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) graduating in 2008. I have since worked in theatre, TV, film, radio, and voice over. I have been fortunate enough to have worked and toured to some of the most exciting and respected theatres in the UK and have had a varied and eclectic career so far.
As well as my acting career I have also worked as a teaching assistant. I have had the opportunity to work with students of all different ages from primary through to secondary level. However my main teaching experience comes from students with autism and learning difficulties (SEN).
This enabled me to get to know how to work with vulnerable young people, how to get the best out of them and to help them fulfil their achievements and ambitions. It was difficult and challenging at times but seeing the students progressing and becoming more confident made it all the more rewarding.
Most recently I have been working with Innerdrive who are a mental skills coaching company as a lead workshop presenter and coach. My role is to help students become more confident as they approach exams and look into life after education. I cover a series of different types of workshops. These range from managing perfectionism to studying with the brain in mind and I work with scripts that have been worked on by expert psychologists for a number of years.
