My name is Skye I am 27 years old. I have worked in the NHS for 8 years. I am a fun and outgoing person I like commitment and respect people the way I want to be respected.
Help get them changed and prepped for theater if they need it.
Help them recover by taking their observations to make sure their observations are ok from the theater and report to the nurse taking care of the patient if they are not ok. Also making them a cup of tea or coffee and toast and giving them help to get changed and up out of bed if they require the help.
I also do the odd jobs here and there like, helping the nurses with transferring patients to wards if they need to be and also taking and collecting medications from the pharmacy.
Being company for patients and staff when the days are long and hard, I will always reassure people that I am someone who is easily spoken to and I will help in whatever way I can.
For the past 6 months I have been focusing on helping admin while being short staffed and I am glad I had a change of scenery I really enjoy the admin side of work and being able to explore new things whilst doing so for example tracking patients notes aswel as requesting, Booking patients in for surgery and helping feel at ease before they enter the ward.
