- Be jointly responsible for the quality control of complex scientific projects
- Prepare and present material at in-house and external training courses and other seminars appropriate to fulfilling the requirements of department services
- Quality Check and authorise reports such that errors, anomalies and subsequent credit notes are minimised
- The work revolves around a comprehensive database system that has been developed in-house and continues to expand and develop as needs change; computer literacy is essential
- To ensure that the database is used in accordance with the practises of the department and Line Manager and to robustly and adequately provide comprehensive toxicological and regulatory information to all new and existing entries in the database
- To communicate to clients and co-workers in a clear, concise and unambiguous way, adopting a professional tone and style
- Pro-actively monitor workload and ensure work is progressed efficiently through the department and is reported within target turnaround times and own agreed objectives
- Ensure that work carried out both personally and by the team complies with both customer requirements and company procedures and those procedures are clearly and completely documented
- Develop and maintain a culture of Quality and professional customer service by all staff within the team and ensure that work is carried out in accordance company practises
- To work with minimal supervision under the overall direction of Line Manager
- Any other duties consistent with fulfilling the primary job function, supporting the department and Line Manager

Primary responsibilities
- Preparing Safety Assessment Reports (toxicology and regulatory risk assessment) for the finished chemical Products mainly cosmetic products according to EU cosmetic regulation (EC) 1223/2009 and other global regulation as US, Canada, Australia, Asean, SASO, etc....., as well as safety assessment of personal care products, general products, household products, detergent, botanicals and botanical preparations, homopathic products and pharmaceutical molecules according to different countries regula
- Preparing and produce toxicological safety profiles of chemicals in accordance with the standard operating procedure
- Safety assessment of Raw materials - which include individual ingredients, impurities, residuals more specifically based on their chemical structure, toxicological profile and their level of exposure
- Acting as a consultant providing answers/reports to clients regarding safety and regulatory assessment and classification of a diverse range of formulated chemical products
- Managing and coordinating activities required in the preparation of risk assessments for safety and regulatory submission
- Coordinating physical testing such as microbiology quality, preservative challenge, stability testing and packaging compatibility testing etc.....
- Preparation of the Product Information File (PIF) and CPSR for cosmetic products according to EU regulation as well as label Review and preparation of draft label according to different countries regulations and requirements
- Preparation of SDS according to GHS classification, CLP classification and REACH Annex II (COMMISSION REGULATION (EU) 2015/830 of 28 May 2015 as well as other countries regulations as US, Canada, Australia, etc...
- Hazard profiling, classification and labelling of chemical formulation according to EU (CLP) classification, REACH and the globally Harmonized system (GHS)
- To maintain awareness and to develop and utilise a detailed technical knowledge of directives, regulations and standards relating to consumer and chemical products
- Preparation of PDE report: Calculation of Permitted Daily Exposure for active pharmaceutical ingredients for all patient populations with regards to addressing potential safety issues associated with the presence of these pharmaceutical ingredients as a carryover impurity in other oral drug products
- Preparation of misuse toxicology report for consumer products in different intended targeted population particularly in children with particular emphasis on data relevant to the exposure route(s) indicated from the misuse scenarios – dermal contact and oral ingestion
