Whilst I have nearly completed my undergraduate studies, I have had numerous work experience alongside my degree, including Marketing Research, Customer-Service related jobs and a 6-month internship in the Translation industry. I have business proficiency in French, Spanish and Russian and limited proficiency in German. I have worked at Waterstones for a month and have a passion for Academic publishing and the world of academia.
I have undertaken a 6-month placement at ACS Traduction, where I carried out administrative duties including delivering translations and liaising with clients to understand the case-specific requirements of their translation needs. I communicated with clients in French and engage in phone-calls and e-mails to ensure the customers’ satisfaction with our translation products. I wrote many blog posts and updated the company website, after proof-reading the French-English company translation of their publicity pages.
I have experience in Marketing Research as I undertook a part-time job with Serve Legal for three years, carrying out Retail audits. I am confident communicating on the phone and on e-mail and have practiced this in my ad-hoc experience in Market Research, investigating whether supermarkets stocked cosmetics products.
