Hospital Hotel services

I am currently working as part of the hotel services department at Glangwili General hospital and am looking for permanent work.
I like to exercise and keep fit by walking and cycling regularly. I take my own health and hygiene very seriously and I take pride in my appearance.
Whilst I was still in full time education I worked weekends and evenings for over 3 years in Carmarthen Quins Rugby Club as a waitress which has taught me how to work as part of a team, and to deliver the best service possible to customers. I also had to work independently as I had the responsibility as cashier giving out bills and taking payments from customers.
I am able to listen to, and carry out instructions and undertake delegated tasks as necessary. I am confident in my own ability and am required to use my initiative when needed whilst working as a soft facilities assistant. An example being when a patient arrives unexpectedly and their room hasn’t been cleaned, I have to make a decision on how to manage the situation.
When this happens I ensure that patients are led to another area by another profession where they can wait comfortably until I clean the room
My job at the hospital requires me to communicate with patients and staff as I must take food orders and inform other kitchen staff of what is required. It is really important that this information is correct as it may include dietary requirements such as vegan, vegetarian and lactose intolerance orders.
I am aware of the importance of health and safety in the workplace, also that policies and procedures must be followed, and the need to report any health and safety issues immediately. I also have experience with patient confidentiality from working in the hospital and understand when a patient shares information in confidence it must not be disclosed without legal authority or justification.
I am willing to undertake any training necessary to help me along in this post.
I can speak Welsh fluently which enables me to communicate with other Welsh speakers. I live in Carmarthen and have a full drivers license, which means I can always be flexible.
