Since I was 13 years old, I have always been a hard worker. I started working as a server in my local fish and chip shop. I would finish school, walk from the bus stop and go straight to work. If I were not working or thinking, I would be bored.

Whilst working at the fish and chip shop, I also got myself a Saturday job as an assistant choreographer for a theatre school. I continued working long hours until my GCSEs, when I stopped working so hard to focus on getting good grades. Afterwards, I went on to college where I studied my A-levels on my own due to COVID-19.

This is where I showed my resilience and my hard-working spirit as I managed to get myself a pass in all my A-levels. I began to move on to work at my family business. The business is called Bancombe Autos, and this is where I gained loads of experience in the motor trade.

I learnt how to create invoices, stock take, take bookings, organise calibrations and to keep communication to a high level between the workforce in the garage and the office. I managed to build a customer clientele, which allowed me to gain people's confidence as well as reassurance. I also helped with the second-hand car sales, where I was able to sell some cars to the same customer clientele.

While working at the family business, a year later an opportunity arose to do a SEN course and work in a school as a 1-to-1 TA part-time. So I did both jobs and a college course at the same time. I love being able to help in all matters of ways, and now I fully understand different behaviour traits and how to reduce, de-escalate, and remove potential barriers.

I would like to mention that the last year or so has been hard. My mum had a cancer diagnosis, and I had a DVT, for which the hospital said if I had left it for another week, I would probably not have been around. With this, I do struggle with leg pain as the DVT has caused me to have post-thrombotic syndrome from a damaged vein, which does make my leg swell.

In which, I will need a job that can support me by allowing me to sit and work. All my previous jobs have been very active, busy, and there have never been 2 days the same; however, I believe I cannot be my best working self when I am in pain, so I need to venture back to the days when I was organised and able to keep my brain busy. My hobbies include making earrings in fun and quirky styles; I do like to take part in markets and stalls.

I'm also involved in my local am-dram groups and do like to have a good laugh. I would say my sense of humour is quite dry.
