Sophie Guinan

I am passionate about psychology and obtained a first class honours degree when I returned to education after raising a family. After graduating in psychology, I undertook a counselling skills course to broaden my knowledge. I believe the combination of counselling skills and psychological knowledge enables me to support children in my current role as a teaching assistant in a school.

I took this role to gain direct experience of working with children, as I would like to work with children and young people in the future.

I have been working with children with special educational needs for approximately one year. I love working with children as this role as is hugely rewarding.
