Sophie Woodhead

I am a confident and hard-working individual with excellent people skills. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, running, socialising with friends and play a variety of sports. I am friendly and ambitious, always giving 100% to every task that I undertake.

I am a keen footballer and have 2+ years’ experience in football refereeing and volunteer coaching; these have developed my communication skills working with both adults and children alike. As well as that, refereeing has given me lots of experience of working calmly under pressure and has taught me to be diplomatic and resilient in a variety of situations.

I am currently at sixth form and have completed 11 GCSEs all with grades 8 and 9, including further maths. I am a quick learner, reliable, diligent and thrive under pressure.

• Worked under high pressure and in stressful situations.
• Judged performances in sporting competitions to award points, impose scoring penalties, and determine results.
• Compiled scores and kept track of any sanctions given such as cards.
• Consistently enforced safety rules to protect players from injury during youth soccer matches.
• Inspected game sites for compliance with regulations and safety requirements.

January 2021 – Present

• Monitored safety of children at all times to reduce risk.
• Developed trusting relationships with parents and adhered to adult instructions regarding child supervision.
• Entertained and engaged children with arts, crafts and activities
