Hi, I’m Steph. I’ve been out of employment for a few years whilst my son has been on a long term treatment plan for cancer. I’ve previously worked in customer service, care facilities and warehousing. Due to such a difficult time over the last few years I am keen to find a job role where I can make a difference. A position where I can learn and progress in and is rewarding.
My most recent job role was working as a warehouse operative. My initial duty was to pick online customers orders and process them through to induct stations where the orders would be sorted and sent to packing stations. I furthered my training over the years I worked there.
I worked on pack, packing online customers orders. I also worked as a feeder. This job role was to ensure packers had the right equipment and consumables and to clear the area and monitor the flow of parcels going down the belt and that they were making their way down to sortation in timely manor in order to be sent out on time.
I trained in a few more area‘s which all linked back into the same sort of work, dealing with online customers orders at different parts of the process.
Before this I worked in a care home as a care assistant. My key role was to ensure that residents were safe and well supported. I promoted independence where possible to ensure residents had the best quality of life. It was a fast paced environment where I had to work carefully and accurately to ensure the day/night ran smoothly. Communication is key in a job role like this so that everyone’s needs are met.
First aid courses provided by the hospital where my son attends. He’s gastrostomy fed and has 60% damage to his throat so I keep up to date with first aid courses.
