Youth Worker - Reach Across
During my time with Reach Across, I supervised and supported young people aged 14–17 and delivered youth work sessions as part of a level 2 OCN in youth work practice. I developed activities tailored to individual needs, promoted positive behaviour, and provided pastoral support, demonstrating my ability to work directly with young people to address personal and social development. This experience strengthened my skills in safeguarding, group management, and working with young people with diverse abilities.

While volunteering with the Youth Justice Agency, Mencap, and Foyle Down Syndrome Trust, I facilitated structured projects, reparation activities, and developmental programmes for young people, including those with disabilities or additional needs. I contributed to assessing needs, designing appropriate interventions, and monitoring outcomes, ensuring all work promoted inclusion and empowerment. These experiences reflect my ability to lead targeted projects, work collaboratively with agencies, and maintain safe, supportive environments in line with YMCA policies and standards.
