Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Director, I managed the compliance and quality requirements (including staff development and training) of three businesses (collective turnover circa £90M) who manufactured and imported products for the UK and world-wide markets. I worked closely with the customer base and supply chain to develop policies/procedures to deliver the assurance of conformity to customers and comply with all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. Regular auditing of suppliers to ensure conformity to standards in order to underpin the policies that were introduced.
Quality and Health & Safety Manager - Ultra Furniture Ltd - Kingswinford, West Midlands

Reporting directly to both the Managing and Production Directors, my initial task was the implementation of Lean Manufacturing practices and principles throughout the whole organisation, which comprised circa 250 personnel (£21M turnover); commencing with four integrated production departments and the supply chain. Quality management, compliance management, project management and staff development / training were also key elements of my responsibilities. From a health and safety perspective, I managed the existing policies and procedures and improved / expanded upon them both where necessary, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.
