Since 1987, I have been employed in the shipping industry as an Able Seaman. Throughout my tenure, I have enjoyed the challenges that arose as a result of holding a multitude of posts and responsibilities; which have rewarded me with valuable, irreplaceable experiences. After 34 years of working at sea I now feel I would like to seek new opportunities and challenges with a locally based employer.
I have nurtured a set of skills and proficiencies which I feel would be transferrable within your company. I have gained expertise from working on oil tankers, gas tankers, cable ships, drill ships, and roll-on roll-off ships (to name a modest selection), along with the various roles that come with each of those ships. I communicate with all levels of management and crew alike to ensure operations run efficiently and cost-effectively.
More than anything, I thrive under pressure, have a can-do attitude and am an excellent team player.
