I enjoy learning and taking on the challenge of new roles. I am trustworthy and when called upon, I am flexible in terms of working extra hours when needed and or at short notice.
It must be noted that I am dyslexic. I can struggle with spelling and sometimes take longer to read and process information, however, I have successfully learnt strategies as I have grown, which enable me to understand what is being asked of me and complete the required task successfully. If I need help then I am not afraid to ask. I do not see my dyslexia as a negative but more as a positive, my thought process is very practically minded and it allows me to understand some aspects in a clear manner, effectively enabling me to "think outside of the box".
My interests and hobbies include Fencing (the sport), going to the gym and reading graphic novels. I have also, in the last year gained my full driver licence. and have a DOMS licence.
I have recently held employment positions with Ross-shire Engineering (RSE) and part time positions with the Highland Rugby Club and the Struy Inn. I have experience in both an office environment and within the hospitality sector.
In all of these roles I have gained skills in communication, oral and written, and have experience in dealing with both professionals and members of the public. I have learnt skills which has led me to be able to deal with challenging customers / professionals in both environments and manage conflict. I have been able to build up rapport with individuals from numerous backgrounds and been able to give advice where appropriate in terms of what is required and or what can be delivered.
I recently went to college straight after getting out of school for course for engineering called engineering systems, sadly I didn't pass this course but before that I was at Dingwall Academy doing my higher education.
