I start at 5am each morning and route all our pallet track deliveries. I also monitor routes throughout the morning making sure all premium deliveries are made. I am tasked daily with also planning our fleet for haulage work around the country including daily routes out of our partner companies.

Transport Supervisor - H T Gardner

I am currently a Transport Supervisor for a local firm that operates through the Pallet Network. My role there is over a three week shift period.

• The early shift being a 2am start is where I route all the vehicles across both Devon and Cornwall ensuring that timed deliveries are met and vehicles go out with correct customer paperwork where needed.
• I'm also responsible for the ensuring that customer requests for smaller vehicles are met as well as ensuring all vehicles leave equipped to do there days work.
• The afternoon shift requires a 12pm start and involves making sure that all customer collections are made on time.
• Also dealing with customer and driver issues such as eta's and vehicle breakdowns.
• I also over see the collection sortation of customer's freight making sure it's all scanned to trunk to enable the dayshift to track the Consignments.
• The day shift is 8am till 6pm which involves the day to day running of the traffic office.

Afternoon Shift Manager - Tuffnels

My Roles and responsibilities for this position were to oversee the running of the Afternoon operation both Office and Warehouse.

• These duties included daily Health and Safety walk round's and vehicle checks.
• I also made sure all the customers freight was scanned to trunk and ensuring that all trunks departed by there Matrix time.
• As well as having to meet all kpi's set by the Depot Manager.
• I was also responsible for staffing budgets and to ensure I had the correct amount of staff on my shift to cover holidays and sickness.
• I also did a handover to the incoming Manager with details of trunk departure times and volumes so he could plan the routes.

Sameday controller - Rico Logistics

Reporting to the Control Centre manager, I had to co- ordinate time sensitive collections and Sameday deliveries.

• This involved pricing and invoicing all jobs as well as being on call out of hours across the weekend and evenings.

Backshift Supervisor - Target Express

(1998 - 2005)

Reporting to the Backshift Manager and covering for him in his absence, my Roles and responsibilities were to make sure the customers freight was sorted on time to get the trunks away to the Hub.

• I also had to ensure all drivers reported in before leaving there area making sure all collections had been covered.
• When the vehicles returned to the Depot it was also my responsibility to make sure all returns were put in the correct bays for the Night shift sortation.
• Once the vehicles had returned and been unloaded I had to make sure they were all parked correctly and all keys locked away as part of my security checks.
