Having over a decade of experience in the hospitality trade, working up to Assistant Manager level, I took a break from employment to care for my young family in 2008 and moved to Brighton in 2009. Now, having spent another decade working in a variety of roles, I have progressed into my first manager role, and brought my wealth of experience to a new challenge. In both hospitality and retail settings I have been responsible for recruitment, training and overseeing staff to a high level.
I am a fast learner, self motivated, enjoy problem solving and have proven ability to thrive under pressure. I am keen to continue to experience management in other industries and environments.

Working as General Manager of the Gashapon Bandai Official Shop, including the One Piece Card Game Shop. Responsible for every aspect of the day to day running of the site, establishing best working practices for a brand new site and recruiting and training a brand new team of employees.
Assistant Manager at The Entertainer (2016-07 – 2023-10)
Having joined the store initially as a Christmas temp, then rejoining the team as Saturday staff, I worked up to the title of Assistant Manager. As a keyholder I had responsibility for the day to day running of the store, as a part of the management team: opening and closing duties, banking, staff recruitment and training, annual reviews, KPIs etc. I attended several courses at head office to help improve my performance, and completed all the supervisor modules in the shortest time possible.
In my 2 years as ASM I made it my mission to improve organisation within the store, and improve and maintain merchandising standards, whilst also improving productivity. I was responsible for the running of the store on 2 seperate occasions, each for several months, while it was between managers, and this experience made me even more determined to strike out on my own.

I returned to the hospitality trade following an invitation from a previous employer and friend, to assist with their ailing business. During my time there I mostly tended bar and assisted with functions, trained new members of staff and assisted with day to day duties such as stock management, ordering, deliveries and also helped with ideas and events to keep the business afloat.
