Until very recently I have been a home carer for my partner for the last five years and at full time the last 18 months and essentially have been doing many aspects care work already.

I have recently begun online training courses through Coleg Sir Gâr/Carmarthenshire College Online Direct Learning Digital Direct, to enhance and develop new skills in the carers field as this is an avenue I wish to pursue a career in.

I’m energetic, honest and dependable with a confident and hardworking attitude towards work and life. Able to adapt and work as a problem solver. Able work under pressure, prioritise and deliver against deadlines. Well developed excellent customer service including face to face, telephone and via email.

Feb 2022 - Current

Wilcox and Greene Grounds Maintenance. Commercial and Residential.

Achievements and responsibilities

• Improved rental rates for customers by up to 15% by creating attractive arrangements of trees and shrubs at commercial properties, making the area aesthetic and practical.
• Working in all weathers. Some of the aspects of grounds maintenance include - mowing grass, trimming hedges, aerating soil, upkeep of fences, walkways, and parking areas. 
• Keeping homes/workplace outdoor facilities neat and presentable. Boosting occupant morale, attracting and maintaining businesses, and preserving property investments. 
• Bring the visions of landscape design to life by planting flowers, trees, and many sorts of building elements & ornaments.
• Use of equipment such as: Chainsaws & handsaws, riding mowers, trimmers and turf cutters, pesticides etc. All within time limits and to specifications.

Home Carer

Due to a change in circumstance I left my previous position at Yodel (please see underneath) to become a carer for my partner due to their mental health ailments.

Responsibilities and duties include

• Providing physical and emotional support at all times.
• Helping to provide mobility around the home and outdoors.
• All aspects of household duties from cleaning rooms to laundry and caring for four indoor animals. Running errands such as shopping or collecting medications.
• Preparing, cooking and cleaning dishes and cookware of most meals.
• Monitoring of both the physical and mental health conditions.
• Assisting in making phone calls, paying bills and completing paperwork.
• Garden and refuse maintenance.

Yodel Parcel Couriers - Llanelli SA14 8QW - Employed Delivery Driver

Achievements and responsibilities

• Top Weekly Driver on 13 occasions.
• Working 12 hour shifts and a 44 hour work week, often working overtime.
• Responsible for driving and maintaining a new company Mercedes Sprinter (Long Wheel Base)
• Responsible for the loading and timely delivery of an average of 150 parcels a day.
• Solely responsible for the safe transport and delivery of parcels worth thousands of pounds daily.
• Following strict health and safety rules such as manual handling and hazardous awareness.
• Required to meet strict deadlines as parcels are GPS tracked.
• Required to work in all weather conditions and deliver in urban, industrial and rural areas.
• Work from paper maps and hand written directions as GPS/4G unavailable in some rural areas.
• Customer service both face to face and over telephone often following directions to properties.
• Acquiring signatures and delivery feedback in person as well as keeping accurate records.
• Overtime included warehouse shifts, unloading and sorting of parcels into delivery sectors
