Sullivan Hayes

I lead the team of Product Designers at Innovate Design, where we help clients navigate the full journey from a first-concept sketch to a finished product on the shelf. My background is rooted in technical resolution; I’m as comfortable in the workshop building electronic prototypes as I am in SolidWorks engineering complex assemblies for mass manufacture.

This hands-on approach has taken me from the studio to regular on-site production oversight at factories in China and daily collaboration with manufacturing partners across South-East Asia.

I hold a First Class Honours in Product Design & Technology from Loughborough University and, alongside my work at Innovate, I lecture at Warwick University on their Innovation and Entrepreneurship MSc. Throughout my career, I’ve overseen the technical delivery of a huge variety of products, ranging from safety-critical fitness equipment to children’s toys and household appliances. I’ve included a selection of projects here that highlight my focus on detail, manufacturing logic, and the essential bridge between design and engineering.
