I am a University graduate with over 3 years experience as a trainee Quantity Surveyor looking for progression in my career. I have experience in residential and small commercial dwellings but would like to broaden my experience and work on larger commercial properties. I have recently complated the foundation level in Quantity Surveying with RICS whch totals to 150 hours of CPD.
I am also currently in the process of finding a suitable University to study a RICS accredited MSc in Quantity Surveying in September of 2025.
Main duties :-
Read architectural and structural engineer drawings and produce a written quote for the client for Design and Build contracts and Traditional contracts
Price each individual stage in an elemental breakdown format for the client
This includes calculating all materials required and calculating costs of labour for each element. As we mainly work on new builds and large extensions this involves materials from foundation concrete to roof trusses
Auditing all receipts and invoices relating to each project and filing them on google drive using Excel
Auditing all labour costs and auditing them on Google Drive using Excel
Making sure that all stages of the project are completed according to schedule
Working out what stages may be completed too early or too late in order to work out if the project is on budget, overspend or underspend
Liase with clients over the telephone and email and meeting with them at our office where I will give them updates and take any feedback for variations required.
Look for new and innovative ways to reduce costs during the build project by gathering quotes and negotiating prices and researching different methods of building
General office duties such as filing, auditing and finance
Managing Director / Store Manager
Main duties :-
Managing and running the store
Running the Lottery terminal and Western Union terminal
Main duties :-
Audit Invoices payable and receivable
Use SAGE a long with the company accountant to upload invoices
Track payments to make sure pro forma are paid on time
Give advice to other departments on where and when monies should be issued
Top- tier SME Tele-account Manager
Main duties :-
Sell Gas and Electricity on behalf of the company by contacting business owners and doing a price comparison to save them money on their energy consumption
Create long lasting professional relationships with business owners
Handle complaints and any queries from accounts that I had created
Hit monthly sales targets or risk being relegated to a lower team and a lower pay bracket
Main duties :-
Taking inbound sales calls from members of the public
Yorkshire Bank / Clydesdale Bank
Speak with customers in arrears with their credit card repayments
Understand and be empathetic to customers situation and agree a way to get them back on track
Arrange payment schedules according to their personal finances after reaching an agreement
Main duties :-
Greet and help customers during their customer journey
Restock shelves by keeping an eye on stock
Operate tells for sales and refunds
Be vigilant with security to reduce any theft or damage to stock
