I initially started as an agency employee but was employed from January 2001. As a benefits assessor I information gather, update systems and deal with a lot of confidential financial information, often gathered from Governmental sites. There is a lot of communicating with benefit claimants and official bodies.

This position was found via an agency. I helped implement a new stock control system from a manual card system to prove efficacy. This was then expected to have a Computer system based on the paper system developed. I wrote a software specification for this but never saw the system in use as I moved away. Maintenance of the paper system did involve some weekend working. Before I left I trained a full-time employee to complete the tasks required with the stock control system.

After one week on-site training I took on the role of being the only personnel officer on site, reporting directly to the Director of Human Resources. In this roll I aided in Interview timetabling and preliminary interviews. I produced Induction material for new employees and students.
I wrote references and reports as needed with aid from appropriate personnel. I also produced documentation for the calculation and notification of Wage/salary reviews, computer updates and keeping managers up to date with developments.
